I’ve trained singers for nearly two decade and I love it! My approach is encouraging, practical and is designed to help every singer foster strength, resilience and confidence in their voice.
Specializing in technique for vocal performers, I help singers of all levels build instruments that are sustainable and reliable and can meet the demands of performance.
I’ve coached indie recording artists and major label artists for tours and festivals including the band Missio. Throughout my career, I've prepped singers for Broadway, film/tv and commercial auditions. Recently, I've worked with Eshan Sobti and Raymond Salgado who went on to be finalists on Canada’s Got Talent.
In collaboration with my local voice clinic (Surrey Voice Clinic) it's been an honour to be an ongoing part of a voice care team, supporting local singers post injury in recovery and helping them return to the stage safely.
My work extends into film/tv and the music industry, providing singing preparation and vocal support for performers on set, back stage at concert venues and in the recording studio.
I’ve worked with numerous incredible actors and performers, including Olivia Munn, Emily Bett Rickards, Kylie Rogers, Alexia Fast, Taron Egerton (Sing 3, Thriller, and most recently on set for Apple TV’s Smoke).
I’ve studied and trained as a singer for over 30 years. As a vocalist, musician and performer myself, I know what it's like to be in the performing arts world, so I prioritize a compassionate empathetic approach to training.
I am a graduate of the UBC School of Music and hold a Level 5 Mentor Instructor Certificate from the Institute for Vocal Advancement (IVA). I earned my Speech Level Singing Certification and studied that method for more than 15 years. I also completed Vocal Health First Aid Level 2 Qualification Course (Vocal Health UK.)
I’ve had the privilege of working with and consulting with some of the world’s leading voice experts, including Seth Riggs (Speech Level Singing), Greg Enriquez, Raab Stevenson, Wendy Parr, Mindy Pack, and Spencer Welch.
To this day, I continue to study, pursue professional development, and attend international voice conferences, staying current with the latest research in vocal health and voice pedagogy.
